UMI Performance 82-92 GM F-Body Tunnel Mounted Trq. Arm Fits TH400- No Loop - Black - 2218-B

This tunnel-mounted torque arm is specifically designed for use with a TH400 (Short tail Only) transmission in an 82-92 Camaro or Firebird. The kit includes a transmission crossmember with provisions for the TH400 and a new adjustable torque arm. This setup allows for a straightforward bolt-in installation of the TH400 transmission. The torque arm setup removes the front mounting point of the torque arm from the transmission, protecting the tail shaft from damage. It also includes pivot brackets that allow for easy instant center adjustments, crucial for improving performance on low to mid horsepower cars. The set-up is constructed using high-quality materials, including CNC-machined mounting plates and Grade 8 hardware for durability. For those running the torque arm on stock rear-ends or similar designs, a Rear Torque Arm Hardware Kit is recommended for optimal performance. If using a Moser Engineering 12-Bolt rear-end, hardware supplied by Moser Engineering should be used. A separate kit is recommended for the Moser 9" rear-end.
