This QuickLIFT PLUS System fits the following Ford Fairmont & Mercury Zephyr (TRUNK) model years: 1978 1979 1980 1981 1982 1983 This system is designed to work with every stock trunk application. With the mounting locations we use, our system uses very low force gas springs which put very little stress on both the trunk. Lower ball stud attachment is tucked under the sweeping hinge assembly, out of the way when opening up the trunk
