The JLT Super Big Air Intake for the 2011-2014 Ford Mustang GT with a Roush, Whipple or Ford Racing (FRPP) supercharger replaces the factory airbox with JLT's largest sealed enclosure and an oversized intake tube — sized to keep a blown 5.0L fed rather than choked at the inlet.
Why the Super Big Air. A supercharger moves far more air than the stock airbox was designed to pass, so the inlet becomes the restriction. The Super Big Air uses a substantially larger filter and tube than a standard cold air intake to cut that restriction on positive-displacement blower applications.
Why upgrade? The factory airbox is built for cost and quiet, not airflow. A fully sealed enclosure lets the engine draw cooler air from outside the engine bay instead of recirculating hot underhood air.
