The UPR Plug N Play™ Dual Valve Catch Can Features Multiple Chambers and a pressed Coalescing Filter that delivers optimal performance. Plug N Play™ Fittings, adjustable brackets, and UPR's Billet LT4 PCV Diverter are just a few of the features that make this kit head and shoulders above the rest. The catch can fittings are all quick release Plug N Play ™ fittings that allow you to push the buttons to release the catch can in seconds . The UPR Quick Release mount knob is the finishing touch. It allows servicing of the catch can without any tools.
The UPR Clean Side Separator (CSS) traps oil mist that would try to exit the dry sump vent, which keeps your air inlet cleaner. This UPR designed kit will keep your supercharger from ingesting oil from the PCV system.
UPR's Dual Valve catch can delivers exceptional performance and utilizes all the best components, and hoses and fittings. UPR uses billet fittings, braided hoses, custom fit billet hose ends to lock the hoses and fittings in place. We've been working on better options for the GM vehicles to make Enthusiasts aware of the Ineffective performance the 2-chamber catch cans others offer. These 2 Chamber Pull Through Oil Catch Can run Generic Screens, Compressor Filters, and Honeycomb Filters such as JLT - Moroso - Mishimoto Catch Cans. These designs reduce cost and deliver a reduction in performance as well.
2 Chamber Designs have been proven to allow as much oil into the intake as they collect in the can still allowing 50% or more of the oil to be ingested filling the manifold and causing detonation/spark knock in the cylinder. Mainly because the design requires a better-engineered diffuser system and not just a simple screen, muffler, or honeycomb filter. The primary function of an oil separation system is to eliminate fuel degradation and any possibility of engine knock known as detonation from oil entering the combustion chamber. It's not how much you collect in the Catch Can it's how much you stop from exiting the exit stream of the Catch Can.

This UPR Pro Series catch can kit is shipped ready to install even if no upgrades are selected. Upgrades are available to allow you to tailor the kit to fit your needs.
Upgrades available:
The Billet Pro Series check valve is a larger, higher flowing check valve than our standard check valve. It generally will increase the vacuum through the catch can and equate to better PCV evacuation. Better evacuation can translate to better MPG and low speed driveability.
The Stainless Steel magnetic drain plug would replace the drain plug on the bottom of the catch can with an Allen head plug that has a magnet embedded into it. It will attract any ferrous metal material to it so the user can inspect it.
The drain line kit includes a drain valve, hose and fittings needed to install the drain valve. It allows the user to relocate the drain somewhere easier to access like the wheel well opening or bumper area. (You would choose either the Magnetic Drain Plug, or the Drain line kit - not both)
The UPR catch cans have an O ring seal on the containment cup. Replacement O rings are available if you lose, drop, or tear an O ring when servicing the catch can. It's not a bad idea to have a spare set in the glove box.

A: The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system is used to recycle the gases that leak or "blow-by" the your engines piston rings and create a positive pressure in the crankcase. By venting these gases along with oil mist/vapor from the crankcase and route it back into the intake manifold so it can be burned off.
This is a poor fix from automobile manufacturers, because over time the excess oil vapor collects along the inside of the intake tract and forms a "sludge". This leads to a variety of issues including carbon build up, retarded timing, detonation, power loss and even engine failure.
All engines have blow by otherwise there would be no need for a PCV system on your engine. PCV = Positive Crankcase Valve, which eliminates Positive Crankcase Pressure. UPR s Catch Can has become one of the most widely used and recommended cures for just about every application.
UPR s fix for the PCV system used on many engines for reducing toxic gases from being released into the atmosphere and eliminating positive crankcase pressure / Blow-By.
