The anodized aluminum catch can bracket mounts near the front LH side of the engine. A polished billet plate secures to 3 OEM grounding points. Because this is manufactured from aluminum, it conducts electricity. The large anodized dual catch can bracket secures to the ground plate.
The dual CCV (crankcase vent) catch can kit retains factory functionality and is compatible with both wet and dry sump LT1 engines. For wet sump engines, each valve cover vents to the intake through their respective catch can. For dry sump engines, the LH valve cover vents to the intake through the respective catch can. The RH valve cover vents to the intake through the dry sump then the respective catch can.
At low loads, these catch cans experience atmospheric pressure. However, when the engine is at high load (WOT), these vents will experience high flow out of the crankcase. This would normally lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the air filter intake pipe.
