Dual Output: 8 Amp Charging, 2 Amp Maintenance
The Power Tender® 8 Amp/2 Amp uses a dual-output architecture: 8 Amp for high-speed bulk charging of depleted batteries, and 2 Amp for ongoing maintenance of fully charged batteries. At 8 Amp, a depleted 60Ah automotive battery recovers in approximately 7–8 hours. Once charging is complete, ISM (Infinite Sequential Monitoring™) transitions to 2 Amp maintenance mode automatically, holding the battery at peak voltage without overcharging for as long as the charger remains connected.
Multi-Chemistry: Lead-Acid and Lithium
A manual chemistry selector switches between lead-acid and Lithium (LiFePO4) charging profiles, delivering the correct absorption voltage and float protocol for each battery type. Modern vehicles and powersports equipment increasingly use Lithium as factory-standard or aftermarket batteries — the Power Tender® 8 Amp/2 Amp supports both chemistries correctly at full 8 Amp output.

Automatic Temperature Compensation
