They are secured to the hood with CNC laser cut custom stainless steel brackets. All of the hardware in this kit is stainless steel, so there's never a chance of rusting. This kit allows for hands free operation when opening the hood. No more fumbling with the OEM prop rod. The rigid design also protects your hood from possible wind damage when open.
